The Nothing Phone (3) made a surprise appearance during the Nothing Ear (open) launch event.
While the event is primarily focused on the Ear Open earbuds and the unveiling of Nothing OS 3.0. Sharp-eyed viewers are spotted on the Phone (3) in that video.
This may be an accidental or intentional showcased, has already sparked excitement and speculation about the upcoming flagship phone, which is expected to launch in July 2025.
A Dual Launch Event: Ear (Open) and Nothing OS 3.0
While this event was a dual launch event, one was for Nothing Ear (Open) and the other for Nothing OS 3.0.
The Nothing Ear Open has with new design audio device, which is great, but it doesn’t have the ANC feature—Active Noise Cancellation. At this $149 price, this feature is mandatory for the user
If I talk about Nothing OS 3.0, it’s fantastic, and the Nothing community and fans are very excited about when it will arrive on Nothing devices.
However, the real surprise came during the Nothing OS 3.0 UI demo, where the viewers got an unexpected glimpse of Nothing Phone (3), was spotted, showcasing a mock-up design of the device.
Where to Spot the Nothing Phone (3) Design
During the Nothing OS 3.0 UI showcase, at timeline 6:54 in the event video, a mockup design of the Nothing Phone (3) appears.
Key Changes Noticed in the Mockup:
Setting UI:
You can notice that at the timeline there are 2 Settings UI shown- one dark mode and one light mode design. Focused on the light theme, where the “Finish setting up Phone (3)” text appears in a yellow background, hinting at the device’s name.
Font Changes
Notable, Nothing has changed their Nothing signature N-dot fonts for “settings” to Sans Serif font to get a cleaner and minimalist look.
Reshape UI Elements
There is also a new UI reshaping of “Network & internet and Connected Device”, from a square shape bottom to an inline shape design, adding minimalistic and aesthetic.

Speculation and Hype Around Nothing Phone (3)
While people might say this was an announcement video for a namedrop of the Nothing Phone 3, the name drop likely served as a marketing move to build hype and buzz, which is why they showcased the mockup otherwise it is a simply sneak preview.
One Month ago, CEO Carl Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) is slated for release in July 2025, but the tech fans and Nothing fans are excited to know about its features, specs, and design.
What We Know So Far
Although there are no official details about the Phone (3) hardware and specs revealed in the event video, fans have high expectations.

Release and Future Expectations
The launch date for the Nothing Phone (3) is expected to be in July 2025, but the excitement among Fans is already building.
When comes to my excitement, I am very excited to know what Glyphs interface has will it be Glyph Interface 3.0 and the AI assistance features that are shared in the video “Let’s talk about AI”?
