How Carl Pei Built Nothing

More depth on the podcast Carl has shared, he was very fascinated by tech gadgets especially Apple devices, after some time, when he was in Sweden, buy an iPad and then an iPhone.  He played and brainstormed how the apple makes such an innovative gadget.

After a young age, he joined a Chinese MP3 player brand to begin a career in the tech industry and fan community, then he joined Oppo, the camera phone brand when they were struggling to build a brand identity. 

Also, shares how he and Pete Lau, shared a proposal to Oppo for a new brand launch which is now known as OnePlus. He left her position after 7 years when the brand lost its vision.

He loves to travel to new county new places but after the 2020 Covid pandemic, he started a new brand such as Nothing, and raised funds from Swedish investors the journey started. Now we have raised C rounds last year and getting to the $1 billion valuation. 

As of 2024, according to the videos, Nothing Brands now generating  $600 million in annualized revenue, this is happening within 2 years. It is a huge success for Carl Pei and Nothing as an early Tech Startups.
